• Telescope with a reflection optical system, which uses the property of reflecting the light of mirrors. These mirrors are curved, so that they converge the light at a point called the focus. The 76 mm diameter primary mirror is already able to show numerous craters on the lunar surface and even some details on the main planets.
• The equatorial system allows you to move the telescope on the axis parallel to that of the Earth's rotation and on the perpendicular axis, which lies on the plane of the celestial equator.
• Once stationed, it allows greater precision in tracking celestial objects.
• Thanks to the accessories supplied, it turns out to be a very versatile tool suitable for dissemination.
• Included are the 5x24 optical finder to easily locate and center celestial objects, 3 eyepieces of 9 mm, 12.5 mm and 25 mm, the 3x Barlow lens to amplify the magnification even further, the image rectifier with 1.5 multiplication factor x and the moon filter to reduce the light intensity of the telescope, essential for a clearer view of bright subjects such as the moon, Venus and Jupiter.
• Like any reflecting telescope, the National Geographic 76/700 is free of chromatic aberration and therefore objects are shown without spurious colors.
